Get ready, Melbourne! The city is about to welcome its latest gem, Melbourne Place, an independent 14-storey, 191-room luxury hotel, set to open in the heart of the CBD this October.

This landmark development at 130 Russell Street promises to be a celebration of all things Melbourne, seamlessly blending state-of-the-art accommodation with award-winning design, high functionality, and world-class dining and event experiences, alongside boutique retail offerings.

The hotel’s design will feature contemporary textures, tones, and shapes, with every touchpoint. Elegant suites, with bespoke finishes and furnishings will provide guests with intimate front-row views of Melbourne’s evolving cityscape.

Melbourne Place has been carefully curated to offer unparalleled stays with options including Everyday rooms, Suites, and Penthouses, each designed for a restful and luxurious experience.

The first floor will host a variety of meeting and event spaces, perfect for weddings, corporate events, private dining, and product launches. Among these spaces is the standout Emerald event space, which can accommodate up to 250 guests and features a rare open-air terrace overlooking Russell Street. For more intimate gatherings, the hotel offers three additional spaces ideal for elevated board-style meetings and private dining.

Hatted Young Chef of the Year, Nicholas Deligiannis, will head the culinary program, including the rooftop restaurant, Mid Air, on level 12. Deligiannis will also serve delicately curated menus in the event spaces and offer indulgent in-room dining for guests. Ross and Sunny Lusted, renowned for Sydney’s Woodcut and the legendary Aman Resorts, will introduce a new and original concept to the ground floor dining room and basement bar.
